Next to love for the Creator, we believe that patriotism is one of the highest and noblest affections of the human soul.
We believe that, without patriotic citizens, the institutions of no country are safe, and that none will so jealously guard and protect them as those born and reared under their influence.
We believe that we have the best form of government for the masses on the face of the earth, and for the welfare, prosperity and happiness of all American citizens and their descendants, we desire to protect our form of government and to preserve it intact from the influence and control of any un-American sentiment or power, whether native or foreign.
By disseminating sentiments of loyalty and patriotism and by establishing a fraternal feeling of devotion to country among all of its citizens, we hope to make it impossible for any one to live under the protection of the Flag of the United States of America who does not honor and revere it, and who would not be willing, if necessary, to render any sacrifice or service in defense of the principles of freedom and justice to which it represents.
